Hey guys! As each day passes, the excitement continues to grow ๐Ÿ™‚ God has brought us together for HIS reason and HIS purpose. I hope everything is going well regarding support and preperation.

Three years ago, My cousin who is a youth minister out of a church in Florida asked me if I wanted to travel to Russia with a team from his youth and I immeadiately said yes without hesitation. Honestly, I was not prepared for what God had in store for me. I wasn’t nervous even though it was my first time out of the country, and being away from my family for three weeks. Once we were over there, God opened my eyes to things outside of my own world. He required me to drop everything that I had found comfort in and rely on him. Once over there, I loved not only traveling, but talking to people who were so curious and willing to constantly learn. There were some people who rejected what we were saying and it was very difficult but gave us more of a drive to constantly be in the Word and build up knowledge. Since then, I have been praying that when the time was right, God would provide a trip to Africa. About 2 years ago, I was told that I would have the opportunity to travel to Kenya but a few months later plans fell through. I watched as a close friend of mine went to Kenya and told me everything about it and my desire to travel there increased severely. In November, I heard about AIM through a group discussion and I figured I would check it out. My mom had already told me to find a trip a month or less because I also need to prepare for college this summer.  She figured I would find one for only two weeks but I took her words very literal. The day that I was accepted on this mission trip, I started jumping down in excitement!! God has made it happen!!!!
Something that I was slightly nervous about was going with people I had never met. Then we all found eachother and began communication and all my worries went away! I am so excited to spend a month with all of you. God has drawn every one of us together, regardless of where he is leading us,our diversity, and our testimonies. HE will do wonders with each of us.  The support that has come in has been incredible and has calmed any questions of doubt that this is where God was leading me. It started off very small and everything came in at once. God provides ๐Ÿ™‚ Futuristically, I feel called to stay in missions once I graduate from Med school and be able to work with children whereever God may lead me. God has combined my interests and shown me something to constantly strive towards and that happens to be Missions.

I hope everything is going well for everyone!!! I am so excited!!!!
