My name is Jenna Mitchell and I am 16 years old. I live in Arizona but I was born in CA and I like to say that that's where my soul remains. :P (I simply adore CA). I have five siblings; two younger sisters, two older sisters and an older brother. I love them all very much. My dad is a pastor and so we have moved around a lot to the different churches that God called him to. About five years ago, my parents felt very clearly called to Phoenix, AZ to plant a church! So that's what brought me to AZ. Now the church, Poiema, is growing and thriving thanks to my parents leap of faith. 

I am homeschooled and have been for most of my life. Now I know what you are thinking but I assure you: I am not a geek!(BTW, most homeschoolers are normal people) :)  I play volleyball through a club team and absolutely love it. I also really enjoy to sing, I get that from my family. Almost everyone in my family plays some kind of instrument or sings. 

I have never been on a mission trip before. I have never been out of the country. And furthermore, I have never been away from home alone longer than five nights. Ovbiously this trip is a huge step for me and to tell you the truth, I am scared. But I know that this is what the Lord is calling me to do and I'm not going to ignore that. I'm so excited to have this opportunity!! I have been wanting to go on a mission trip to Africa for quite some time and I know that this trip is going to be quite the experience for ALL of us!! 

I am so thankful for this blog because this way, none of us will be going in completely blind. I look forward to meeting you all in person!!!
