Hey Guys! Day Four of the Compass asked us to put up our prayer about unity on the blog, well.. here it is.
Heavenly Father,
I want to thank you for this wonderful group of people that you have brought together for your work. Lord, I know that each one of us is something amazing to you and each contribute a special thing that will help this trip go smoothly. I pray that while we are at camp Lord, you bring a close bond and friendship with each and every one of us that continues to stay through out our trip, Uniting us not only by our similarities but also by our differences. I pray that you change our lives drastically by not only showing us the people of this country but those we are going over seas with. Lord, I pray that even when the times get difficult and stressful, that you help us understand one another with understanding and love, to not get frustrated and impatient. I pray that you encourage us to open up and trust one another. I pray that the trust we are given is not taken lightly. I also pray that our eyes are all on you Lord, that despite the changes that will occur, our goal is to serve you and to bring not only others closer to you, but help one another. Lord, I know that there will be difficult days, I pray that you give us the strength to keep our heads high and a big smile on our face. Father, I pray for the leaders. I know you are constantly preparing them Lord, and leading them so they may lead us. Thank you for the loving authority you have placed. I pray for a bond to be made that continues even after we get home. Lord, please protect, lead, and watch over us as we prepare for this trip, and bring us all closer to you. Thank you for all you do and for loving us. I love you. We love you. Amen.
—- The devo topic is Unity. When I was reading through the example of the rock band and why we want to be in a rock band. To me, each person has something that they are doing. If they are not doing their part, the music does not sound right.
Each one of has a part. Each one of us is bringing in different stories, lives, testimonies, interests but we are all uniting for GOD. He has brought us together and has a specific purpose for each and every one of us. If one starts to fall, we are to help them up. Lift them up spiritually. On this trip, it’s going to have it’s days. We will be tired, we will be a little homesick, and we will be surrounded constantly. not only by God’s amazing love, but by constant attacks. We have to have each others backs. It goes back to our question about Love. Love each other.
I am so excited to meet everyone. and i am not good at praying out loud. It scares me and makes me nervous but I hope by the end of this trip, I will be very used to it. I love you guys and we don’t have much longer!!! Woo woo!!
