question. if we bring spending money on the tip, do we have to exchange it? i dont know what thats called but like convert to whatever currency they use or do they use the same.

Actually that’s a great question, Abby. In Kenya they use currency called the Kenyan Shilling. You can just bring money in US dollars and we’ll get it all converted once we’re there. Or, if you want, you can find a place in the US that will do it before the trip. It’s totally up to you.
