Hey! My
name is Emily Herrin,
and I am a sophomore at Boca Raton High School. I am currently 15 years old,
but I will be 16 when we go to Kenya! I have lived here in Florida my whole
life, so I am pretty much a Florida girl. I live about 10 minutes from the
beach, flip flops and shorts all year round, and I love it! =] I love
sports, especially swimming, diving, gymnastics, and cross country. I have one
sister, Amanda, who is married and just had a baby, my nephew Colton! I can be
a shy person at first, but after I get to know you, I am very fun and
energetic! I am a very adventurous person, and I am always willing to try
anything new. I have always been the kind of person who will help anyone
who needs me, no matter what. I am a very friendly person, and I smile all the
time =]
I
absolutely love kids, and I cannot wait to be with the children in Kenya! Since
I have never been on any kind of mission trip before, I am so so so so excited
for this trip. I have always wanted to travel to a place like this, and never
imagined I would have the amazing opportunity to go to Africa! I am just
starting to get really into photography, so expect me to be taking pictures in
Kenya 24/7! I also cannot wait to meet all of you! It will be so fun to get to
know each other more and share all of our stories. I find it amazing how God
works. He has been putting little things in my life lately, and I can’t wait to
see what he will do for all of us while in Africa! (In the pictures, the center
one is my older sister and I, and the one on the right is my baby nephew
Colton!)
I have a blog that I update once in a while, feel free to read!

Hey Emily, I can’t wait to meet you and for you to meet the kids of Kenya! I know you’ll love getting to love on them and show them Christ’s love! We’re only about 2 months away…GET EXCITED!
Hey Emily!
I would looove to go to Florida. I’ve been there 3 times, but every time it was just in the airport. Right now in Indiana, most of us wish that we were in Florida. ha!
Can’t wait to meet you and to go on this trip!
